Prof. Dr. Mohammed Zakir Hossain is a renowned Orthodontist with extensive experience in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He completed advanced training in Orthodontics from Kyushu University and Hiroshima University, Japan, and earned his PhD in Orthodontics from Hiroshima University. He also earned an Honorary FCPS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, and has played a significant role in the advancement of orthodontic education and practice in Bangladesh. As a distinguished academician and clinician, he has served as Professor and Head of the Department of Orthodontics at leading dental institutions (Dhaka Dental College, University Dental College) and has mentored generations of orthodontists. With decades of expertise in managing complex malocclusions, dentofacial deformities, and multidisciplinary orthodontic cases, Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered orthodontic care and creating healthy, confident smiles

He is currently a member of Bangladesh Medical Education and Accreditation Council (BMEAC). He also serves as president of the Bangladesh Orthodontic Society.

He has served in other prestigious roles as Treasurer and Vice President of APOS (Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society).
